Mrs. Miller's 5th Grade Class

Welcome!

Welcome to fifth grade! We are looking forward to a great year here at Sundale and I am very excited to get to know all of my new students and the families that will become part of the room 24 extended family this year!

I hold every student accountable for being a respectful part of our community with an emphasis on strong character developmnent while meeting high academic expectations. With all of this in place, learning at a deep level will happen and your children will blossom!  Feel free to contact me anytime with questions.

Daily Homework Assignments

Students will have homework to complete every Monday through Thursday. Some days it will be very light, while others may requre more time and effort.

Reading every day has significant positive impacts on children. Not only does this help them to become strong readers, it leads to better test performance in all academic areas, prepares them to be strong, confident college or trade school students and, ultimately, members of the workforce. One of the MOST important pieces of daily homework is the expectation that your child will read for 30 minutes each night (Monday through Thursday).
