Mrs. Aguayo's 2nd grade classroom

Welcome to our new school year! This is going to be a phenomenal 2023-24 year!

KNOW THE TEACHER:

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. Sundale has been my home for the last 30+ years. I have been teaching 2nd grade for 17 years and I truly enjoy this grade level. I've taught 6th, 7th, and 8th Spanish as an elective class in the past and worked as the EL coordinator and Migrant Supportive Aide. I truly enjoy working with the EL and Migrant families, therefore I have taken an extra assignment to work with those families in part times basis.

My husband and I have three wonderful girls. All three of them graduated from Sundale. We have 5 grandkids; which is a total joy to be part of their lives.

It is important to me that you feel comfortable enough to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

I can be reached at 559-688-7451 or by email at maricela.aguayo@sundale.org or Class Dojo.  Again, welcome and I hope we can work together to make your child's school year a super memorable year!

HOMEWORK

Even though I do not assign homework, I would like for you to check your student's units in DreamBox and Lexia at home. They need 10 units on each program. They also need to read nightly their AR books and take their tests.

Parent Volunteers

We are ready to have you come and volunteer in the classroom.  The kids really enjoy having you here!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SEND SNACKS AND DISINFECTING WIPES THUS FAR. The kids are loving their snack at recess!

Sundale School website

Sundale's website is the most practical site for your child to use at home. They can access Dreambox, Core 5, and AR, using their number as an ID and their first name as their password. They can take AR tests at home as well as in class.

Donations

Our class could benefit of some of the following items:

  • small treats such; fruit roll-ups, gold fish/animal crackers, rice crispy treats, apples, cheese sticks, etc.
  • water bottles
  • Disinfecting wipes

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Mrs. Aguayo
