Brooke Espindola

I am starting my 7th year as a school counselor at Sundale Elementary. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here building relationships with staff, students and their families.

A little about me. I have been married for 16 years and we have three beautiful children. Our son is 14 and our twin girls are 12. I love playing and watching all sports but my favorite has to be soccer. I played soccer all my life and was blessed with the opportunity to play in college at Fresno Pacific University. I graduated at Fresno Pacific with my bachelors degree and continued my education at Fresno State where I received my masters degree. I love traveling and watching my three kiddos play soccer.

I look forward to seeing your children again. My door is always open, please feel free to stop by, call or email me anytime with questions or concerns.

Below are a few ways students can get involved with Sundale!

The first Wednesday of the month we highlight a college/technical school or branch of service. Please encourage your child to dress in any college/technical school and represent!

Second Step is an evidence-based Social Emotional Learning Program that we have implemented for K-3rd grade students. Each week we go into the classrooms and teach lessons about building their social-emotional skills like, positive relationships, managing emotions, setting goals, and problem solving. Learning these skills will help our students be the most successful in and out of the classroom. This is a great time to continue to build relationships with our students.

On Mondays we offer a new club called Sundale Sisters. This is for 4th grade girls during their lunchtime. We gather together, enjoy lunch, do fun activities, play games, and build friendships with one another. It's a place to come, have fun, meet new friends, all while building great relationships. We want these girls to spread kindness throughout Sundale and their community.

Tuesdays during lunch we have GUC (Girls United Club). This club is for 8th and 5th grade girls where they come together to support each other. We know 6th grade can be a big transition for some students, so we bring in our 8th graders to provide wisdom, advice, and guidance on their journey through middle school and help 5th graders navigate through this new chapter. They become that big sister, mentoring buddies for one another. We are promoting positive talk, positive affirmations and helping ease the transition into junior high.

On Wednesdays we offer Lunch Bunch for 2nd and 3rd graders. This is a great time to continue building relationships with our students as well as our students making new friends. Students get to eat their lunches with piers, meet friends, and enjoy fun games together.

Thursdays during lunchtime we offer Art club for 5th-8th graders. Students are welcome to bring their lunches to our room and enjoy some fun, relaxing art. You do not have to be an artist to come. Art Club is a place where we encourage you to let go of any worries and let your creative mind flow. It's also a great place to come and meet new friends!
